Spa Castle New York is a spacious urban spa in Queens, New York, inspired by traditional Korean jjimjilbangs and Asian and European bathing cultures. Opened in 2006 and extensively renovated in 2024, the all-season wellness destination combines hydrotherapy pools, saunas, bath areas, relaxation spaces, dining venues and spa treatments, creating a full-day day use experience focused on relaxation and wellness.
The extensive Hydrotherapy Pool area features seven pools with strategically positioned aqua-jet stations designed to provide different types of water massage. The two outdoor Grand Pools offer seated and standing hydrotherapy stations that target different areas of the body with adjustable water jets. The Dome Hot Tub features targeted massage jets and warm water, while The Grotto is an outdoor hydrotherapy pool centered around a cascading waterfall and surrounded by natural light.
Indoors, the Panorama Pool combines individual seating with hydrotherapy foot and back massage jets, while the Aqua Bar allows guests to enjoy drinks while relaxing in a hydrotherapy pool. The outdoor area also includes additional rooftop pools and relaxing spaces, while the Waterfall area provides a quieter place to unwind away from the hydrotherapy jets.
Sauna Valley offers a diverse collection of heat, infrared, mineral and cold therapy experiences. The Himalayan Salt Sauna is lined with natural salt blocks and creates a warm, tranquil environment, while Halotherapy uses a salt-filled setting designed to provide a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere. The Far Infrared Sauna uses infrared heat for a gentle warming experience, and the Infrared Zone combines infrared lamps with a relaxing environment.
The Gold Sauna offers a distinctive heated experience inspired by the traditional use of gold in wellness practices, while the Jade Sauna incorporates jade materials and far-infrared heat. Color Therapy surrounds guests with changing colored light designed to create a calming sensory experience, while Ice Land provides a contrasting cold environment that can be used as a refreshing break between the warmer sauna rooms.
The Bath House combines traditional bathing experiences with modern hydrotherapy facilities. Guests can access a cold bath pool, four heated pools inspired by Asian and European bathing traditions, three hydrotherapy pools, acupressure aqua-jet pools, showers and wet and dry sauna rooms. The area also includes spaces for exfoliating body scrubs and private body treatments, allowing guests to alternate between warm, cold and hydrotherapy experiences throughout their visit.
For a more personalized wellness experience, Spa Castle offers a range of spa treatments, including body massages, body scrubs, facial therapies, reflexology and couples treatments. The treatment menu combines traditional and contemporary techniques performed by professional spa therapists. After the wellness experience, guests can take a break at the spa's two dining venues, which have been recently renovated with updated menus featuring a variety of flavors from around the world.
The dining experience at Spa Castle includes several venues spread throughout the facility. On the first floor, the First Floor Kitchen serves crisp salads, Greek and Mediterranean-inspired dishes and hearty American comfort food, while Juice Farm offers fresh fruit and vegetable drinks alongside sweet treats such as fruit-topped waffles, crepes and parfaits. On the second floor, the Tonic Bar serves cocktails for guests aged 21 and over, while the Snack Shop offers casual refreshments including nitro brew, Dippin' Dots and packaged snacks. On the third floor, Sky Garden focuses on authentic Korean cuisine, with dishes such as Bulgogi, Ramen, Spicy Pork and Bibimbap prepared with traditional ingredients and flavors.

The outdoor pool area may close temporarily during severe weather conditions. Swimwear is required for the pools, while beach towels and children's tubes are available for rental.
